About Iceinline Central Inc.
Iceinline Central Inc. is an Incorporated Society which owns and operates an outdoor Olympic sized ice rink in Molyneux Park, Alexandra, the largest one of its type in New Zealand. We also operate a purpose-built indoor curling rink, just the second dedicated indoor curling rink in New Zealand.
Widened Horizons
With the move into town, the decision was made to change the name to Iceinline Sports Complex (Inc), as it realised the need to move away from the club aspect, to being a Complex that provides a facility for wider use by the community, and providing a base for the affiliated skating codes to use.
The name was subsequently changed to Iceinline Central Inc.
Community efforts
The 60 x 30 metre rink was built largely by volunteers with local building firms giving of their time voluntarily to help get the buildings up to an operational basis.

Our versatile lounge is available for private hire during the summer season. Its popularity as a venue for private functions such as 21st birthdays, engagement parties, and conferences continues to grow.

Tournaments & Competitions
The facility also hosts several ice hockey tournaments during the winter as well as figure skating competitions and regular curling tournaments. These cater for all age groups. Considering the short season, club members have had great success in all codes at National and International levels.

Schools
The local schools, plus those from out of town, attend the rink on a regular basis over the winter as part of their winter curriculum, with coaching provided in figure skating, hockey and curling skills. The numbers involved in school groups, are 50-60 per 1-2-hour session from 9am – 3pm.

Part of the Community
Although the complex is owned by an Incorporated Society, it is also an integral part of the Alexandra sporting scene and a valuable asset to this community. All funds get poured back into improving the facility and working towards enclosing the ice surface.
